Lower Ash Canyon, SE Huachuca Mts at oak-grassland interface. Butterfly garden. Observations from 12:30 PM-3:30 PM. Thirty species observed. Missed yesterday’s Cloudless Sulphur and Red Admiral. Nectar consisted of Dalea (2 spp), Salvia (several spp), Aster, Lantana (2 spp), Cosmos, Gaillardia, Tithonia (2 spp), Gaura, Milkweed (2 spp), Buckwheat, Verbena, and Chocolate Flower. Second Mestra in nine years for the yard. Common vs. White Checkered-Skipper not separated
