North Cape May ~ my yard NABA #1151 & Monarch Waystation #8318
Cape May County, NJ

Cloudy and very rainy this AM, once clouds cleared just before Noon the butterflies especially Monarch’s came out. I’d estimate over 200 Monarch’s in the yard feeding on Tropical Milkweed, Mexican Sage, Lantana and Blue Rhea Salvia. Again, in the afternoon many locals stopped by to see the Monarch’s and teaching done.

  • Black Swallowtail 1
  • Cabbage White 3
  • Gray Hairstreak 1
  • American Lady 12
  • Painted Lady 17
  • Common Buckeye 17
  • Monarch abundant
  • Fiery Skipper 13
  • Sachem 15
