Silvery Checkerspots mainly seen nectaring, including on Purple Milkweed (Asclepias purpurascens), & one very cooperative individual mineralizing seen with Lew & Sheila Rosenberg; also seen by myself was a Great Spangled Fritillary (photo) which is uncommon in this park, also on the Purple Milkweed. “Summer-type” Little Wood-Satyrs just beginning to fly here. (No spring-type L.W.-Satyrs were seen this year here & that form are rather scarce in Bronx.)
